Mobile assistance services in Vorarlberg help older and/or care-dependent people live in their familiar surroundings as they age. They provide the personal care that these individuals want and need. There are 40 mobile assistance services across the region, offering support everywhere. The services can be divided into the following areas: Support Services - Companionship, like listening, walking, reading aloud, etc. - Encouraging and supporting personal initiatives and skills - Communication in social settings - Running errands, going to appointments (like the doctor) Household Support - Cleaning the living area - Keeping laundry organized (washing, ironing) - Preparing small meals according to individual needs - Shopping, if possible together with clients Help with Daily Activities - Support and simple assistance in daily life activities - helping people help themselves - In care situations - as directed by qualified health and nursing professionals Other important services include 17 day care centers, supervised lunch programs, meals on wheels, and support in nursing homes.
