pro mente Vorarlberg offers extensive support in the child and adolescent psychiatric field. Our counseling centers in Dornbirn and Nenzing support children and adolescents, as well as their parents, caregivers, teachers, trainers, etc. Adolescents between 14 and 18 years old, or their caregivers, can contact the youth offices in Vorarlberg Unterland or Oberland. Professional support and social-psychiatric care for children between 6 and 13 years can only be provided via a referral from a specialist physician or following assessment and placement by the specialist service aks Kinderdienste or ifs Kinder- und Jugendberatung. Therefore, please first contact a specialist in child and adolescent psychiatry or the above-mentioned services if needed. The counseling centers’ individual and group services range from medical-psychological treatment to social work support and health care, and also include creative therapy and leisure activities using elements of experiential therapy. The professionals see themselves as contact persons for children and adolescents in critical life phases, as well as for their parents and caregivers. Integration goals and steps are developed together and continuously supported. We work closely with specialists in child and adolescent psychiatry.
