StoP - Neighborhood without Partner Violence Innsbruck - Wilten

Description

The StoP project (Neighborhood without Partner Violence) has a contact point at Michael-Gaismair-Straße 15 in Innsbruck. There, people can get support in dealing with domestic or partner violence and connect with other local residents in the spirit of good neighborliness. The sponsoring organization of the project is Frauenhaus Tirol, which has provided protection and refuge for women and children affected by violence for over 40 years. StoP Wilten is a significant addition to the social landscape in the area of violence prevention. With a preventive and participatory approach, StoP addresses the root causes of violence and aims to offer neighbors opportunities for togetherness rather than merely living side by side. This is concretely achieved through pop-up cafés, neighborhood meetings, flea markets and communal activities where people come into conversation with one another and civic courage is promoted. In this way, StoP actively contributes to a non-violent, solidaristic neighborhood and counteracts domestic violence.
