Description
In the contemporary shared living community, Caritas supports young adults aged 16 to 21 who have an apprenticeship or are undergoing vocational training on their path to independence. The Richterhaus housing option is suitable for those who can no longer, or do not want to, live in supervised group-home care but are not yet ready to move into their own apartment. Young adults receive individual support tailored to their everyday realities. They receive guidance and counseling on all the questions and demands that come with becoming an adult — together we lay a solid foundation for their future lives. How we help: - Psychological stabilization; - Enabling independent and socially responsible living; - Integration into the community; - Promotion of personal development; - Addressing deficits; - Self-sufficiency in household management; - Responsible handling of money; - Confronting one’s own biography; - Coping with personal crises; - Developing a personal life perspective; - Clarification and building of relationships, relational skills; - Planning and implementation of school and/or vocational integration; - Preparation for transition into a follow-up program with lower levels of supervision or discharge to independent living.
