Description

Loneliness affects many people, especially the elderly or those living alone. But no one should have to feel alone. The visiting and companion service of the Red Cross in East Tyrol provides these individuals with time, attention, and a piece of joy in life. Our volunteers regularly visit people who desire company. Whether it's a walk in nature, a shared game, a conversation over a cup of coffee, or support with shopping, the visits are tailored to the individual needs of the accompanied persons. We give time and are often more than just companions: We listen, are present, and provide support in everyday life. The visits last about 1.5 hours and usually take place once a week. The service is voluntary, free of charge, and available throughout East Tyrol. Red Cross East Tyrol – Humanity that connects.
