Meals on Wheels

Description

Meals on Wheels is a valuable service provided by the Red Cross of East Tyrol in cooperation with the Social Sprengel Lienz-Turn. It allows people to receive freshly prepared meals daily. This service particularly benefits the elderly and individuals with health or physical limitations who can no longer cook for themselves. In the area of Lienz city, two teams deliver lunch meals daily. The meals are picked up at the residential and care home or at the BKH Lienz. Various types of meals are offered, such as regular, light meals, or special diets, to meet individual dietary needs. In addition to providing balanced nutrition, this service also offers social support, as contact with the deliverers is an important part of the day for many people and contributes to improving their quality of life.
