Caritas Integration Project Language Tandem

Description

For many people, learning the local language is the biggest hurdle on the path to integration in Austria. Especially for those who come from a different language family or who had no opportunity for a solid school education, additional practice and exchange with native speakers are needed alongside language courses. Learning largely happens through relationships. Although language acquisition is the primary focus of this project, it is always also about getting to know different cultures and engaging in an exchange on equal terms. Unlike the Caritas integration projects, Buddy-Projekt and Tiroler Patin, a shorter placement of two to four months is also possible here. As a language buddy you will receive training, be accompanied by a volunteer coordinator and benefit from exchange meetings, further training and group supervision.
