Caritas medcar(e) – basic medical care

Description

Going to the doctor when you’re sick? For people who are homeless and/or uninsured, injuries and illnesses pose a serious problem. The Medcar(e) project gives those affected free access to medical care. The cooperative project is conceived as a comprehensive program that includes physical health, psychological stabilization, and reintegration into the existing health system. The Tyrol Red Cross ensures basic and primary medical care in Innsbruck both at fixed locations and via mobile services. Caritas offers low-threshold social counseling at the practice on Innrain as well as at the mobile sites served by the medcar(e) bus.
