Description

The Bahnhofsozialdienst (BSD), founded at the beginning of the 20th century as the Bahnhofsmission, is the oldest institution of Caritas Tirol. The on-site contact, counseling, information and referral center for people experiencing homelessness acts as a social hub. The facility is open daily, including on weekends and public holidays. The BSD focuses on supporting and caring for people experiencing homelessness and, in doing so, raising awareness of the issues facing marginalized groups in Tyrol. We offer: - Opportunities for conversation; - Breakfast and dinner in the Caritas Wolfgangstube; - Advice and information (e.g. about financial entitlements, work, housing, debts); - Assistance for travelers in difficulty; - Referral to specialized service providers; - Support with contacts to authorities; - Referrals to sleeping accommodations and basic medical care through the cooperative project medcar(e).
