Description

The Team Austria Tables in Sillian and Lienz, managed by the Red Cross East Tyrol, collect surplus food every Saturday from local grocery stores and supermarkets. Instead of being thrown away unsold, these goods are distributed to people in financial need based on the principle of 'Use instead of Waste.' Eligibility for assistance is determined through household verification and income threshold checks. Fresh and non-perishable foods help relieve household expenses and contribute to a balanced diet. Distribution takes place on Saturdays from 7 PM. With this commitment, the Red Cross East Tyrol aims to reduce food waste and support those affected by poverty.

Who is the offer for?

People in financial distress residing in East Tyrol. Individuals and families who cannot afford food regularly. Persons who have received a proof of entitlement (verification of household and income).

How can the offer be used?

The Team Austria Table distributes free food to people in financial distress in Lienz and Sillian every Saturday starting at 7:00 PM. A valid entitlement card from the Austrian Red Cross East Tyrol is required.
