"Support fund for people with disabilities"

→ Target Group: Support from the "Support Fund for People with Disabilities" can be granted to individuals who have fallen into social distress due to an event related to their disability. The support aims to alleviate or eliminate the distress. → What is funded by the U-Fund? The "Support Fund for People with Disabilities" can financially support the following measures: • Adaptations to living spaces and sanitary facilities, • Stair lifts, • Communication aids, • Mobility (necessary modifications for cars due to disability), • Assistance dogs. → What requirements must be met? You must have your residence or permanent stay in Austria, require a measure due to your disability, have a disability degree of at least 50%, and meet an income limit (as of 2024) of €2,435.92 net. This amount increases by €380.00 for each dependent person living in your household (partner) and by €570.00 if they have a disability. Current income proof must be submitted. Special payments and social benefits like care allowance or childcare allowance are not counted. Support from the fund is not possible if your monthly net household income exceeds the maximum contribution limit according to § 108 Abs. 3 ASVG. You must apply BEFORE starting the project and BEFORE submitting invoices (invoice date). → What can be granted? One-time financial support for necessary measures due to disability (maximum amount is €6,000.00 as of 2024). Each regional office can decide on amounts up to €1,817.00; amounts above that must consult the Austrian Disability Council. There is no legal entitlement to support from the fund.
