Description

Communication is the core of inclusion. It is a basic need of every person to connect and communicate with others. A disability does not mean that communication is impossible. There are many different ways to communicate; it can be a look or a gesture through which we express ourselves. Every person has the ability to communicate; we just need to learn to understand and support it. With this attitude, we pursue our goal of finding an individual path to communication for each of our users to help them lead an independent and self-determined life.

Who is the offer for?

For people with a congenital or acquired disability who cannot speak understandably or at all due to this, fulfilling this basic need is often very difficult. Serious problems in communication often arise in everyday life between them and their social environment.

Special features and further information

Our staff specifically uses individual aids, strategies, and techniques that complement or replace spoken language and thus facilitate communication. Supported Communication (UK) is an umbrella term for many methods that enable people to assemble an individual communication system. This can serve to support spoken language and make it more understandable or to find an alternative form of communication outside of spoken language.
