With the wind at your back - discover new paths Difficulties with finding a job, lack of orientation, no prospects? Then a wind at your back can bring you forward! Tailwind is an EU-funded project (European Solidarity Corps) of the CUBIC association in cooperation with the Tyrol Chamber of Labor and many European organizations and partners from England, Estonia, Finland, Greece, the Netherlands, Portugal, Sweden, Spain, Hungary and other countries. The project is aimed at all young Tyroleans between the ages of 18 and 30 who are looking for professional orientation, are in a phase of change or are taking a break and want to gain important experience abroad for their future. The aim is to motivate young people to take control of their lives and create opportunities and prospects together. The focus is on developing and consolidating personal and social skills. The intercultural exchange in the various projects abroad enables numerous new learning experiences, creates unforgettable experiences and gives new strength and motivation to develop personal goals for the future. The projects are very diverse and range from boat building in Cornwall to sustainable gardening in Portugal to environmental protection and sustainability projects in Greece. No previous knowledge is required and there are no costs for the participants. All young people are continuously coached and professionally supported in the projects.

Who is the offer for?

Jugendliche und junge Erwachsene im Alter von ca. 13 bis 30 Jahren mit Wohnsitz in Tirol (teilweise auch österreichweit bzw. EU-weit, je nach Projektformat). Die Angebote richten sich insbesondere an junge Menschen in Orientierungs-, Übergangs- oder Belastungssituationen, z. B. bei Schwierigkeiten im Übergang von Schule zu Ausbildung oder Beruf, psychosozialen Belastungen, fehlender Perspektive oder dem Wunsch nach einer begleiteten Auszeit. Für die Angebote sind keine Vorkenntnisse erforderlich; viele Projekte sind kostenlos oder stark gefördert. Die Teilnahme erfolgt freiwillig und ist unabhängig von Schulabschluss, Ausbildung oder Beschäftigungsstatus. Bei Bedarf ist eine enge sozialpädagogische Begleitung möglich.

How can the offer be used?

Die Nutzung des Angebots ist niederschwellig! Interessierte junge Menschen können sich über WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, telefonisch oder per E-Mail beim Verein CUBIC melden. Im Anschluss findet ein unverbindliches Erst- bzw. Informationsgespräch statt. Dabei werden die aktuelle Situation, Interessen und Bedürfnisse besprochen und gemeinsam geklärt, welches Projektangebot passend ist. Erst danach wird über eine mögliche Teilnahme entschieden. Eine Zuweisung über eine Clearingstelle ist nicht erforderlich. Kooperationen mit Beratungsstellen, Jugendcoaching oder anderen Unterstützungssystemen finden regelmäßig statt.

Die Angebote des Verein CUBIC sind niederschwellig, freiwillig und auf die individuelle Lebenssituation der Teilnehmenden abgestimmt. Viele Projekte sind kostenlos oder stark gefördert (u. a. durch EU-Programme), es sind keine Vorkenntnisse erforderlich. Alle Teilnehmenden werden durchgehend sozialpädagogisch und sozialarbeiterisch begleitet – von der Vorbereitung über die Projektdauer bis zur Nachbetreuung. Bei Bedarf können zusätzliche psychosoziale Unterstützungsangebote eingebunden werden. Das Angebot ist ressourcen- und stärkenorientiert, vertraulich und orientiert sich an den Prinzipien der non-formalen Bildung. Ziel ist eine nachhaltige persönliche, soziale und berufliche Stabilisierung.
