What is Ausbildungsfit? Why is Ausbildungsfit necessary? Some young people need more time and support after finishing school to navigate the job market. They often lack important qualifications for the desired vocational training or basic skills for successful integration. The aim is to provide young people with the opportunity to acquire missed basic qualifications and social skills, as well as to learn about training opportunities, helping them to better navigate the job market. Who is the target group? Ausbildungsfit is aimed at young people aged 15 to 21 or up to 25 for young people with disabilities, who want to pursue vocational training and whose career aspirations seem clear at this time. How do I access Ausbildungsfit? Access to AusbildungsFit is regulated through close cooperation between youth coaching and the AMS. The first point of contact for AusbildungsFit is youth coaching. If participation in AusbildungsFit is recommended by the responsible youth coaching, they will contact the AMS (Labour Market Service) to clarify support for living expenses (DLU). Then AusbildungsFit can begin. It is free and voluntary. During the support by AusbildungsFit, AMS pays a so-called living expense coverage (DLU) for each "working day."
